A man travels far from home in search of work in Vaca Muerta’s oil industry, a hostile place where the impact is felt by both people and the environment. Finding work or a place to sleep proves more difficult than he imagined, and as he wanders, he encounters various characters and situations: a ghostly doppelgänger of a former worker trapped in post-apocalyptic landscapes, a town suffering earthquakes caused by fracking, and Indigenous communities organizing to defend their lands, culture, and nature against the voracious advance of the oil industry.
A fiction documentary that interweaves stories to portray the fracking crisis in Argentina and its human and environmental impacts. Among gas flares lighting up the night, altered landscapes, and territories crossed by pipelines, the film offers a poetic perspective on resistance, loss, and the urgent need to rethink our relationship with the land.
