A documentary project in development by Lawen and Conexiones Climáticas, exploring the oil cycle in Mexico, from extraction in the Bay of Campeche and PEMEX refineries in Tabasco to the social and environmental impact on oil cities. Through journalistic and visual research, the project reveals the traces left by the fossil fuel industry on communities, bodies, and territories. Crude Paradise seeks to open a reflection on the human cost of oil and the possibility of moving toward a fairer energy model.
